Bahrain International Airshow signs industry-leading contracts ahead of 2022 event
Bahrain International Airshow has signed eleven industry-leading contracts ahead of its 2022 event during its presence at Dubai Airshow 2021.
Following contract signings at this week’s Dubai Airshow, the following world leading aviation and aerospace organisations have confirmed their attendance for BIAS 2022: Airbus, Rolls-Royce, TAWAZUN, Indra Spain, DHL, DFS Aviation Germany, Etihad Engineering, Lockheed Martin, UAE Space Agency, Boeing, Thales, Texel Air, and MENA Aerospace. These organisations join the likes of Bell Helicopter, Chevron, BAE Systems and Leonardo as exhibitors.
Taking place on 9-11 November 2022, the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) will mark more than 10 years of bringing together the best of the aerospace industry in an intimate platform to do business.
Focusing on the future of airport and airlines, and women in aviation, the 2022 edition of BIAS will see industry-leading professionals and organisations gather at the Middle East’s gateway to the Gulf for unrivalled business and networking opportunities.
With over 150 companies expected to exhibit across the defence, business and aviation sectors, the boutique aerospace event offers visitors the opportunity to strengthen existing business connections and meet key with senior decision makers and stakeholders of aerospace businesses operating in the Middle East and internationally.
Organised by the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Airforce in association with Farnborough International, BIAS has been designed to reflect industry demands and will harness global expertise to provide thought leadership and opportunities on two main topics: the future of airports and airlines, and women in aviation.
To provide additional improvements to its first-class experience, extensive investment and refurbishments have been made to the airshow exhibitor chalets and show features, such as the Cargo Hub to allow for more opportunities for business, networking, growth and knowledge sharing.
An established event in the aerospace and defence calendar
Commenting on the 2022 event, H.E. Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications said: “Connectivity is at the key of Bahrain’s economy, and the 2022 Bahrain International Airshow is back to connect the world to the Gulf region. We have taken advantage of the past couple of years to vastly improve the Bahrain International Airshow’s quality and value in line with our goal of delivering a business-conducive five-star environment in which to connect the global and regional aerospace industry.

Offering one of the most internationally renowned aircraft displays on the airshow circuit, BIAS will also host an impressive static showcase and daily flying displays featuring the latest in both military jets and commercial aircraft.
